QV1 is an iconic 43-storey Perth office building and retail plaza, located in the heart of the Perth CBD. QV1 is home to a vast array of businesses and includes state of the art amenities.
Lightspeed were invited to tender on their requirements for an ICN upgrade – a server and backbone infrastructure upgrade. Lightspeed set to work designing an entirely new and unique solution for the client, which ultimately won us the tender. Our design solution was vastly different and innovative to the alternatives and as a result of the superior design, came in at significantly cheaper than other offers and was able to be completed in a shorter timeframe.
Lightspeed included detailed line diagrams with their scope of works, along with several options within their quotation to accommodate different requirements and possibilities to be considered to put the project over the top, as part of our value-add service.
As experienced project design consultants, Lightspeed conceptualised the entire project through from the ground up and considered all aspects of the projects from potential improvements to highlighting potential issues and our solutions for them.
These works included working outside of normal business hours, use of specialist equipment and the need for uniformity throughout the floors. As several technicians were working on the project at one time, it was imperative that all floors are identical and completed to a professional finish. Due to Lightspeeds’ technicians, their exceptional standards, vast experience and detailed project planning this was achieved with great success.
