Lightspeed’s Financial Year 2021/2022 In Review
Site Location: Various locations across Perth
Completed: 2021 – 2022
With the end of the financial year now behind us it’s time to look back and see where the year took us and what we’ve achieved as a team over the past year.
As with the previous financial year, 21/22 was challenging, exciting, and rewarding in many ways. From lockdowns and border closures to being open to the rest of Australia and open international borders, from businesses downsizing to state-wide labour shortages, it’s fair to say that businesses haven’t had it easy the past few years.
Lightspeed Communications and Electrical has worked through a tough landscape for the last couple of years and kept working even when it meant splitting up the tight knit technical team for months on end. Having built long term relationships over many years across diverse industries we’ve been well placed to weather everything the last years have thrown our way.
With the WA border closed for most of the last 2 years, our great team of technicians have covered most of WA’s expanse, even including a trip out to Christmas Island, which we are assured was not a holiday even though it very much looked like it.
This year has seen Lightspeed working with many new clients right across WA, while serving all our long-established client’s needs. From planning networks in Broome, to splicing fibre along transmission lines on mine sites everywhere from the Pilbara to the Gold Fields and the South West, and from installing wireless networks at Geraldton port to cabling offices on St Georges Terrace, Lightspeeds team have been there and done that this year.
Even with the financial year only just over, we are already looking towards where the next jobs will take the team, from park lighting rollouts in the South West to office fit out’s in the City and out to mine sites in Kalgoorlie, financial year 22/23 is off to a great start.
We can’t wait to see what the challenges will be for the rest of this year and look forward to living up to our tag line – Connecting the Future.
