Perth International Airport serves as Western Australia’s primary airport for international, domestic and the resource sector transport. The airport has seen unprecedented growth in both passenger and aircraft movement in the past decade due to Perth’s booming population and resources industry.
With the vast growth Perth Airport has undertaken numerous projects to increase capacity and services throughout the airport precinct. During a recent project to increase airside space a fibre optic cable was damaged that required repair to ensure continued service and safety for the area.
Lightspeed Communications was engaged to install a new fibre optic cable and jointing enclosures between the damaged sections of cable and then complete fibre optic jointing of the cable to bring services back online. These works were completed promptly and safely by Lightspeeds technicians to minimise disruption to existing services.
