For more than a century, The Perth Mint Refinery has provided timely refining advice and service to the Australian gold mining industry and dealers in secondary precious metal. The Perth Mint Refinery refines gold and silver sourced from the Oceania Region. Refinery throughput is expected typically between 300 tonnes and 400 tonnes per annum. Refining capacities are well in excess of this.
Lightspeed Communications were engaged by the Perth Mint to remove old analogue cabling present and replace it with Cat6 cabling to facilitate a new VOIP telephony system being installed onsite.
One of the challenges faced with completing this project was working in a high risk environment, with exposure to chemicals used in the refining processes as well as highly secure building infrastructure.
Our technicians were able to complete the project on time and within budget, whilst maintaining a safe working environment and with no instances of injury.
