The Perth Convention Centre is WA’s only purpose-built convention centre and can cater for functions of up to 5000 delegates.
The Convention Car Park is one of the largest car parks of the City of Perth and holds approximately 1400 cars
Previously all ticket machines, entry booths, exit booths and intercom systems ran on a serial based system.
Lightspeed were contracted to install a new fibre optic and data backbone cabling system throughout the car-park to allow these systems to move from the previous serial network to new ethernet protocol with gigabit capabilities.
In order to achieve this, Lightspeed installed single mode fibre optic and category 6 cabling throughout the car-park. This provided a gigabit network to the car-parks access and payment equipment. The works also required the upgrade and installation of additional cable tray and cable pathways to facilitate the new cabling.
Lightspeed were also engaged to install power circuits on UPS backup to the scrolling signs and ATM ticket machines throughout the car-park.
