St Hilda’s Anglican School for Girls is a private Australian independent non-selective Anglican school located in Mosman Park, WA.
Lightspeed Communications & Electrical are proud of their long-standing working relationship with St Hilda’s, providing our extensive knowledge and vast skill sets on various jobs and projects over the years.
Lightspeed were contacted by St Hilda’s ICT department early on a Monday morning as they had lost network connectivity with their Administration Building.
Lightspeed personnel were onsite within 30 minutes of the initial phone call. Through initial testing, they were quickly able to ascertain the issue to be a damaged fibre optic cable in the roof space, most likely from rodent damage. This testing allowed our technicians to pinpoint the exact location of the fault, making it quicker and easier to identify the issue and offer solutions.
Lightspeed took photos of the damage and showed them to the client, advising of the best solution. They then set to work cutting off the damaged cable, pulling excess cable from the existing service coil and re-terminating the connection. Additional measures were also put in place to lift the cable off the roof space floor to deter future rodents.
Lightspeed had their connection to the Administration Building back up and running within 3 hours of the initial phone call. Our client was extremely pleased with the skill and speed of the repairs and grateful to Lightspeed for their minimal downtime.
