With the upcoming redevelopment of Patricks Fremantle Wharf, Lightspeed was involved in the consultancy of the redevelopment project.
The main challenge of this was how to keep a 24/7 Billion Dollar operation ongoing without any down time. This was achieved through the auditing and documentation of the existing communications network and designing a new single mode network to be installed in parallel.
These works where under taken over a period of multiple months and included installation of over 8 thousand metres of single mode optical fibre and many hundreds of terminations.
Installation of this cable will allow for the automation of the Patricks Terminal allowing data throughout areas such as mobile cranes, the new developed administration buildings, Power Sub Stations and multiple lighting towers allowing, site- wide CCT network and future wireless data network to be available throughout the site.
