Lightspeed Communications was involved in the High Street upgrade project under Main Roads. Our role was to provide fibre optic and communications infrastructure for the CCTV system and site detection systems and signs. 

We installed single-mode fibre optic cabling to create a high-speed network for the control systems, CCTV network and detection systems in place all works met strict performance standards including fibre and copper cable termination, with testing completed to main roads specifications.

 Additionally, we supplied and installed Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) ground-mounted cabinets on concrete plinths, fully equipped and energized ready for use.

 All CCTV cameras, detection systems and road sensors linked back to this cabinet connected to Main Roads broader network, this allows real-time video transmission for main roads.

Our work supported improved traffic monitoring, road safety, and incident response.
