Foodfolk WA’s new 9,600m² facility at Perth Airport stands as the largest catering operation in Western Australia. Purpose-built to support high-volume, multi-sector food production, the site features advanced kitchens, temperature-controlled dispatch zones, bonded warehousing, cold storage, and quarantine waste management. With the capacity to produce over 40,000 meals daily, the facility is engineered for operational efficiency, seamless logistics, and scalable output—servicing industries including aviation, healthcare, education, events, and contract manufacturing.

Foodfolk Australia engaged Lightspeed communications to install structured cabling, fibre installation, and network infrastructure fit-off across multiple site sections.

This project involved the prewire, installation, and commissioning of structured cabling and fibre links across multiple sections, including installation of network outlets, wireless access points (WAPs), and CCTV connectivity. Works were carried out progressively to align with site readiness and other trade activities.

All prewire, fibre installation, and fit-off works were completed successfully, with systems tested and prepared for final commissioning. The structured cabling and network infrastructure now provide full connectivity across all sections, supporting future operational and technology requirements.
